With Jamaican blood strong in her veins, Sheryl Lee Ralph is an acclaimed veteran of television, film, and the Broadway stage. As a world renowned singer, actress, director and producer, fifty year old Ralph is no stranger to success. Having accomplished a critical revere in the entertainment business, Sheryl is a mogul in the making.

Mother, Wife and Homemaker
Mother of two, Sheryl Lee loves every waking moment of raising her children. Recently married to State Senator, Vincent Hughes, of Pennsylvania, in what Entertainment Tonight called, "The most elegant and romantic wedding of the summer!”, Ralph proves that she can indeed do it all – mother, wife and entertainment goddess.

Talented Actress and Singer
Making her first big debut in the film Dream Girls, Miss Ralph has cemented her presence in the entertainment industry with immense success and a reputation not to be taken lightly. .This film gave Ralph a number of award wins and nominations including ‘The Tony Award’ and ‘Drama Desk Award’ nomination for Best Actress.

On the smallscreen, she has captured various roles in TV shows such as ‘It’s a Living’, ‘New Attitude’, and ‘Designing Women’ and has also captured the hearts of many fans in the number one UPN television series Moesha. Her extensive film credits include ‘Sister Act 11’, ‘The Flintstones’, ‘Mistress’ with co-star Robert De Niro, and ‘Distinguished Gentleman’, where she played leading lady alongside Eddie Murphy.

Attesting to be diversely talented, Sheryl Lee scored a top-ten selling dance hit in the mid-eighties. Her infectious tune, ‘In the Evening’, continues to be played on the gyratory discs of many DJ’s worldwide.


Political activist and spokesperson for HIV/AIDS victims

Off-stage and off-screen, Ralph becomes a powerful activist for those surrounded and impacted by HIV/AIDS. In 1991, Ralph created and produced the critically acclaimed ‘Divas Simply Singing’. The proceeds went to several AIDS benefits and other charities. Other benefits include Ralph’s performance at her one-woman show ‘Sometimes I Cry: The lives, Loves and Losses of Women with Aids’.
