The season finale of Digicel’s Rising Star saw the birth of new talent – the dynamic One Third. The group comprises of Miguel Walters, Alpheus O. Johnson and Adrian Campbell. We saw the trio battling against the songstress Nickeisha Barnes, but it was the vigour and verve of the group which led to their winning of the contest. Judge Anthony Miller maintains that the ‘raging female hormone’ attributes much to One Third’s success throughout the competition.
However, it is undoubted that Jamaica loves this vivacious group.
A few words to describe these breathtaking musical innovators – Dynamic. Diverse. Talented. Trendy. Spontaneous.

With harmony tightly knit, many would wonder how the guys came to be in a group. Come on…you have to admit that it’s amazing how three great voices merge as one! . Having met the bald-headed Ray Alexander, their manager, at a Tastee competition, Alpheus saw the need to form a new group that will ensure their rise to fame. It only came natural that they would encounter the next member – Miguel. Al asked Miguel to form a group with him after hearing Miguel singing at a karaoke. Both guys and manager decided to name the group One Third. One problem though – a third member was missing for the group to come into full effect. Meeting Adrian through a mutual friend, October of last year saw birth of the new revolutionary harmonizing trio that we have come to know and love. “As a group, I think it is essential that everybody is versatile” and versatility is exactly what One Third is known for........
