The "youngest veteran" is a slogan coined by Gareth Daley - one of Jamaica's most
influential entertainment/news videographers and a fast-rising music video director.

At age 26, the details of his resume include shooting news footage for local stations Television Jamaica (TVJ) and CVM, as well as specials for ABC News Network in the United States and CTV in Canada. With such an impressive professional dossier so early in his career, it is quite clear that the sky is the
limit for this award-winning cameraman and promising music video director.

From his humble beginnings as a youngster in Ulster Spring, Trelawny, Gareth always yearned to view the world through wider lens. Upon graduating from Albert Town High School, he made his way to Montego Bay and took up a job in customer service at Super Plus Food Stores. However, this vocation failed to satisfy his hunger for exploration. His next job at Aqua Sun Photo & Video brought him
closer to his dreams, and it was there that he met his mentor, Oral Napier, who encouraged him to move to Kingston.

In 2001, the busy frontlines of Kingston's most volatile neighborhoods became young Gareth's playground. During this time, he went back to school and completed a video production course at the Creative Production & Training Centre (CPTC) while working at TVJ. The rest, as they say, is history as Gareth embraced his destiny and cemented his love affair with the camera.

GENTLEMAN

It was a early January morning and the sun, which has already begun its daily trek across the heavens, slowly emerges over the walls of Port Kaiser, St. Elizabeth. It blankets the sea of people who seem almost cemented to the ground and devoid of any intent to leave Rebel Salute.

Junior Kelly was on stage doing his set as Gentleman makes his way to the press area after a superb performance, one that he would later describe as "reaching the people".

Gentleman is hoping to widen this reach in 2007 with his in-the-works
album set for release this summer. Appropriately titled "Another Intensity", the new album promises to be an intense compilation of roots reggae. The finished product will feature the likes of Don Corleon, Bobby Digital and Gentleman himself working behind the scenes.

Are Gentlemen a Dying Breed?
Do they care about social grace?

He says he really likes you and you've been going out for a couple of months, but something at the back of your mind keeps nagging at you. However, you cannot quite seem to put a finger on it.

Yes, he's charming, funny, a sharp dresser, witty and very easy on the eyes. However, on every date or movie night he insists that you go 'dutch' and almost every conversation with him stems from a 'please call me' text sent to your phone. He does not bother to hold the door open for you, nor does he hold your hand in public. While all your girlfriends and co-workers got lingerie and fur covered handcuffs for Valentine's, he told you that he didn't believe in the whole commercialisation of love (yet he devoured the chocolates you bought him!).

Could it be that he is a tightwad, a pennypincher or just plain mean? Or could it be more than that? Could it be that he just doesn't know how to treat a woman? Is chivalry the new curse word? Is it dead or are women simply expecting too much?

Kimberly Lawson
The Charming Pint Size Dynamo

You hear the sound of her laughter long before you even encounter this pint size dynamo, as her zest for life manifests itself in a bubbly personality and engaging smile. Indeed Kimberly Lawson radiates charm and those with whom she comes in contact cannot help but be motivated by this marketing mini mogul that has assisted one of the island's leading manufacturers and distributors giant Wisynco Group Limited, to stay on top of their game.

Buzzz has turned the spotlight on Kim, her marketing skills, her company's goal of market domination, and what drives the 5feet 3-inch woman to make everything count, both personally and professionally.

As Public Relations and dvertising Manager at Wisynco, a job she has held for almost two years, Kim has her hands full as their line of products grow in leaps and bounds constantly. They are a real force to be reckoned with, especially in the beverage department where they kick butt with their
cranberry cult following, courtesy of Ocean Spray.

According to Lawson, it was not that difficult to buy into Wisynco's whole
philosophy and outlook as she quickly saw where they were heading and opted to get on board that fast paced train. "Zachary Harding, the Marketing Director called one day and told me they were in the process of expanding their marketing team and I was his first choice for PR Manager… and here I am. I really enjoy it here as it is an easy environment to work in, as the people are real and lovable. I've been in organizations where you have to watch your back and walk carefully, but here everyone is humble and mean each other well. When people come to our offices, they are usually surprised at the general relaxed atmosphere and camaraderie. It is amazingly friendly yet it works."
