Vitamins for Healthy Hair
It's all about balance when it comes to optimal nutrition for maintaining healthy hair.
In order to achieve this, we often overlook the nutritional aspects that form the foundation of healthy hair and focus on the cosmetic aspects. A mixture of protein, complex carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals is needed to achieve this goal.

Consuming too much of any one thing, particularly certain vitamins and minerals can create problems with your hair. Below is a list of vitamins that will help to keep those locks looking great and turning heads your way .

Vitamins:
-A
-B-complex
-C
-B-2
-Biotin
-Folic Acid
-Pantothenic Acid
-Niacin
-E

Minerals:
-Iodine
-Copper

Herbs:
-Castor Oil
-Chapparral
-Cayenne

All vitamin supplements work best when taken in combination with food. Unless specified otherwise, oil-soluble vitamins should be taken before meals and water-soluble ones should be taken after meals.

Vitamin A: A deficiency of Vitamin A can cause dry hair and /or skin, dryness of the conjuctiva and cornea, poor growth, night blindness and skin disorders (acne).
Sources: Apricots, asparagus, broccoli, carrots, and fish liver oils.
