I love my job, but I can't save!
I have been swinging single on the Kinston scene for longer than I can remember. I love this city, but girl is it hard to keep up with the Mary-Janes. You know - those women in designer shades tooling behind their phat rides, going a zillion miles in style, faster than you can make it. Going to jobs that probably pay them just for looking like first-rate divas.
My job is really cool: allowing me to meet the most interesting people; give full reign to my creative imagination and visit the most exotic locales, but when will I be able to purchase my 7 series BMW and my apartment with that lavish city–view in Norwood? Not on this job – I won’t.
Between paying my rent, my bank loan for the second hand car I own, getting my hair and nails done, swinging to my favorite clubs and restaurants with my friends on a monthly basis, I am always broke. My bank balance is zero. Really!
The hand to mouth lifestyle is getting a little stale – truth be told. That’s the reason why, recently, when I last visited my favorite bookstore it was to shop for books that will turn my life around.
