Who is L.A. Lewis ?

Horace “L.A.” Lewis is a character worth exploring. His chains, trimmings and manacles rival veteran artiste, Lee “Scratch” Perry’s; his lengthy stories about being friends with Prince Charles are questionable; a large rock adorning his work-desk, (which he claims is the ‘Trench Town Rock’ Bob Marley sang about), is odd. More importantly, this deejay, producer, singer, iconoclast, has become one of dancehall’s most well-known figures for very blurred reasons. Without further ado, ladies and gents, Buzzz gives you L.A. Lewis.

Who is L.A. Lewis?
“L.A. Lewis is a character who is very unstoppable, happy and always smiley, smooth, charming; a go-getting person, kind and prosperous person.”

 What exactly is it that you do?
“I do promotion, I’m a artiste, I’m a actor, I’m a dancer, I’m a entrepreneur, a business man and a mediator.”

Actor? Which movies have you been in? I’ve never seen any.
“Well we did a project for Jamaica Chamber of Commerce and it was a half hour movie about the community conflict resolution council where it showed good cop and bad cop and good citizen and bad citizen and I was the star. And different from that I’ve been in numerous documentaries worldwide and I star in music videos, cause music videos are like some four minute movies.”

 So where do you see yourself in 5 years?
“In space linking some aliens ‘cause  I’ve got a lot of alien friends too. Next thing you’re going to tell me is that I’m lying ‘cause you not up to that level yet. But I want to link the aliens and discuss some business.”
