Bernet Spence –
A Man For All Jerk Seasonings

He’s an entrepreneur, a father, a husband and one heck of a cook, but Bernet Spence’s abilities does not stop there. The Jamaican-born “Jerk Man” is also a Chief Rail Control Manager at the Miami-Dade Transit Company, but there is no denying where his passion lies.

Spence has taken his love for cooking to new heights over the years, distinguishing himself in the preparation of “jerk” dishes. Today, he is earning well-deserved recognition for his talents. During his early years in the sleepy south St. Elizabeth community of Ballards Valley in Jamaica, Spence became very familiar with the kitchen. He would occasionally try his hand at cooking, but it wasn't until his days on the campus of the University of Wisconsin in the United States that he truly began to fall in love with the culinary arts.
