Seduce Her With Music

In the days of cavemen, getting intimate with a prospective mate was facilitated by clubbing. This “clubbing” certainly had nothing to do with hitting a prehistoric discotheque (which would be a really obvious anachronism). As popularised in cartoons, the caveman would win over a woman with a swift blow to the head!

Thankfully for the craniums of women worldwide, man has evolved into a more sophisticated being. The fairer sex is now enticed into intimacy, rather than subjected to the absolutely unacceptable use of brute force.

Although some men choose to seduce women with materialistic promises (an act that seems to be increasingly successful in our consistently receding economy), no woman can deny that music filled with the melody of love will tug at her heart strings. The powerful influence of music has been tried and tested as a seduction aid, but to better understand its function, we must take an analytical view of the art of seducing through music.

Winston ‘Bello’ Bell –
Porn, Pre-marital Sex and the Church

Most people know Winston ‘Bello’ Bell as an actor and comedian. He shot to fame through his roles on CVM Television’s “Royal Palm Estate”, “Third World Cop” and his stand-up comedy acts too numerous to count. These roles have helped make him a favourite among Jamaicans both here and abroad.

What many may people may not know is that Bell is an ordained pastor who has been a Christian for almost 30 years. This aspect of his life was publicly manifested almost a decade ago, when he began working on Roots FM. That was in 1999, the same year he and his wife Joy started Time Out for Jesus Worldwide Ministries.

Why do you think the church has vilified sex over the centuries?

Because it is a difficult subject…it is not a subject that is easy to deal with. It is not something that most Christians can stand up and speak strongly about. Sex within a particular context is quite fine. Once you have sex in the way that God prescribes, it’s quite fine, so there is nothing wrong with sex. A lot of church people feel that sex is so wrong and so dirty that you have to be careful how you even say the word.

What is your view of pornography and how it is perceived within the church? Porn, as we define it, is gratuitous sex performed for public viewing…

Gratuitous sex performed for public viewing…I am glad you put it that way. For some Christians, anything naked is pornography, which is such a very backward, really backward way to look at it. That is why many Christians who are married would never dare go to bed naked with their partner, because it’s perceived as a sin. And maybe that is why they have sex in the dark. Maybe that is why little boys and little girls are treated a particular way in church because they are not supposed to discover this thing until they become old women and old men.
