AIDS Awareness Message Reaching Schools

December 1 is World Aids Day, a day when people across the globe pay tribute to those who have been infected with HIV or have died of AIDS. Young people (15-24 years old) account for half of all new HIV infections worldwide and more than 6, 000 become infected with HIV every day.

Artistes such as Voicemail, RDX, Konshens, Terro 3000, DJ Nicholas, Shane-O, Leftside, Serani, Bugle, D’Angel and Mr. Vegas recently lent their celebrity and musical talent to bringing the message of AIDS awareness to young people in high schools across Jamaica.
